O Espaço Ciência Micológica visa estimular a curiosidade científica dos alunos e interessados e propiciar oportunidades de aproximação da micologia com o público em geral, por meio da educação científica, envolvendo interação e sendo um campo de pesquisa e extensão.
O
espaço abriga uma exposição permanente onde os visitantes realizam atividades
interativas com fungos e processos biológicos desses organismos. Neste espaço, encontram-se
painéis, fotos, modelos e protótipos de estruturas fúngicas. O visitante ainda
tem a oportunidade de conhecer o Laboratório de Biologia Molecular de Fungos
equipado com aparelhos e materiais, possibilitando aos alunos do Ensino
Fundamental e Médio uma ampla interatividade através de experiências em um
laboratório científico real.
O
espaço foi pensado e organizado de modo a promover cursos, eventos e outras
atividades, bem como ser um suporte para as exposições itinerantes fúngicas na
região Norte da Bahia, assim promovendo a popularização da ciência e divulgação
científica de forma lúdica e prazerosa sobre fungos.

Mycological Science
Space aims to stimulate the scientific curiosity of students and interested
parties and provide opportunities to make mycology closer to the general
public, by means of scientific education, involving interaction, being it a
research and extension field.
The space hosts a
permanent exhibition where visitors can perform interactive activities with
fungi and their biological processes. In this space, there are panels,
pictures, models and prototypes of fungal structures. The visitor also has the
opportunity to visit the Laboratory of Fungi Molecular Biology equipped with
devices and materials, enabling students from Basic and Secondary Education to
interact through experiences in a real scientific lab.
The space was
developed and organized to host courses, events and other activities, as well
as being a support to fungi travelling exhibitions in the Northern region in Bahia,
promoting the popularization of Science and scientific education about fungi in
a fun and pleasurable way.
